The Role:

We seek a skilled Data & System Analyst to oversee end-to-end HR systems and data management. Key responsibilities include new system implementation, requirements capture, analysis, design, and optimisation of current HR systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for reporting, analysis, and interpretation of data, identifying trends to inform key decision-making, and leading data quality improvements.

This role requires a high level of data analytics and technical strength to work with multiple data sources. Ideally, candidates should have experience in an HR function and possess excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues and stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed system requirement documents and/or user stories
  • Implement system upgrades, develop, and configure HR system workflows and processes
  • Make recommendations for system and data improvements based on industry trends and professional business knowledge
  • Design and implement KPI dashboards for the HR department and stakeholders
  • Enhance automated connectivity and integrations between Peninsula's in-house systems to reduce manual processes
  • Work with Operational Risk to ensure existing business processes are maintained and risks are reduced
  • Develop data flow diagrams and business process diagrams (current and future state)
  • Document problems/requirements and proposed solutions as part of a functional specification
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across all HR data and systems
  • Perform analytical testing and investigative work to resolve application support and maintenance issues
  • Create and maintain user manuals, guides, and other communication documentation
  • Manage system access permissions to ensure segregation of duties
  • Improve training and operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Analyse raw data and reports to identify trends, gaps, and inconsistencies
  • Lead on data compliance to ensure data legislation guidelines are met

Requirements:

  • Strong experience of HR systems, data, and reporting; ideally understanding global challenges and solutions
  • Highly developed end-to-end project management skills
  • Advanced Power BI, Excel, and Pivot Table skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of system integration and analysis needed to implement them
  • Good understanding of information security principles and segregation of duties
  • Ability to share knowledge with the team and become an expert on data and processes
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to recommend practical ways using innovation, good judgement, creativity, and strategic thinking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • External vendor management and selection skills
  • Negotiation, difficult conversation management, and prioritisation skills

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
