Job Title: Partnerships Officer

Join Essex County Council as a Partnerships Officer and play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our partners to deliver data-driven initiatives that drive positive change in our communities.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is part of the Essex Centre for Data Analytics, where you will work closely with data teams across Essex County Council, Essex Police, and the University of Essex to support and manage a range of partnership data initiatives.

As a Partnerships Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that partnership data initiatives run smoothly and support the delivery of programs aligned with the Essex Centre for Data Analytics' ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate partnership data projects and programs, engaging with project leads to problem-solve and overcome barriers to delivery.
  • Build effective, collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Undertake desktop research, develop and deliver reports, briefings, and products aligned to the role.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions for continuous service improvement, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Support the organization of key events, seminars, and briefings that advance the work of the team, promoting the work of Essex Centre for Data Analytics and data communities.
  • Assist in creating, updating, sourcing, and producing copy for relevant online platforms, including social media, website, Insight Matters newsletter, and Data Talks events portal.
  • Provide business administrative support for key strategic data partnership groups, including managing shared inboxes, arranging meetings, and producing and distributing agendas.
  • Provide timely engagement reports and feedback, evaluate the effectiveness of key activities, and contribute to regular monitoring and evaluation reports.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a partnership setting and interest in communication and engagement activities within an organization.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of partners and managing competing demands.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team and partnership environment, including networking and developing strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to draft content, and deal with matters in a sensitive way.
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high capacity for factual accuracy and attention to detail.
