Key Responsibilities- Advocate for racial justice within Diocesan structures, promoting best practices in diversity, inclusion, and belonging with a biblical foundation.
- Provide support and advice to parishes, deaneries, and clergy on implementing the Anti-Racism Charter and developing culturally appropriate worship and faith practices.
- Collaborate with parishes, schools, and Area Racial Justice Groups to share experiences, support meetings, and coordinate events related to racial justice.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on racial injustice, ensuring alignment with Diocesan and National Church Requirements, while staying informed on relevant trends.
- A strong understanding of racial justice, anti-racism, equality, and inclusion, especially within a church context.
- Proven ability to lead engagement/change programmes.
- Collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders from various disciplines and perspectives.
- Experience in organizing medium to large events.
This role is subject to an occupational requirement that the postholder be a practising Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act.
