Senior Research Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Officer to join our Centre for Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biomechanics and bioengineering, with a postgraduate degree in a related field and significant experience in leading independent research projects.
Main Responsibilities- Support the delivery of our Orthopaedic Research UK funded project, enhancing the prescription, design, and production of ankle foot orthoses.
- Contribute to other ongoing research endeavours, taking charge of tasks related to data collection and analysis.
- Develop research objectives and grant proposals within the broader field of interest to the research group.
- Play a crucial role in documenting work for publication and actively participating in its dissemination.
You will become a member of a globally renowned research team led by Professor Nachiappan Chockalingam and Associate Professor Panagiotis Chatzistergos. Their primary research interests encompass foot and ankle biomechanics, early detection and management of scoliosis, and the integrated application of medical imaging, mechanical testing, and computer modelling.
