Job Description:

Onyx-Conseil is seeking an experienced Business Analysis and Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh.

About the Role:

This is a remote role with occasional travel to our office in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes to identify areas for improvement and developing plans to implement changes.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Process Analysis and Improvement:
    1. Conducting consultative process reviews, analysis, and redesigns with colleagues across the University, preparing the business to embed and benefit from changes.
    2. Developing implementation plans, managing handover to business-as-usual operations, and upholding departmental standards.
  2. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
    1. Developing strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels within the University, including teaching organizations, support groups, project teams, and senior leaders.
    2. Communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  3. Project Management:
    1. Managing software development sprints and adapting plans effectively to changes in requirements or business priorities.
    2. Engaging with stakeholders to establish clear scope, deliverables, and objectives for each project.
  4. Problem Solving and Decision Making:
    1. Responsible for redesigning business processes through collaboration with University colleagues to develop more efficient procedures.
    2. Advising on system functionality, considering the impact of new policies on current operations.
  5. Key Contacts/Relationships:
    1. Maintaining key relationships with teaching organizations, support groups, multidisciplinary project teams, and senior leaders across the organisation.

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis and process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills which support the development and implementation of projects and business change.
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision accurately and consistently to high standards.
  • Experience of working in an Agile project environment - experience of user story writing, user story mapping, story estimating, developing personas, Kanban boards to manage work.
