School-Based Behaviour Support Assistant

Ribbons & Reeves Limited is seeking a qualified Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in Kingston-upon-Thames. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the educational and emotional needs of primary-aged children with SEMH and EBD. You will work closely with the faculty, SENDCo, and SEN professionals to develop and implement strategies that support the holistic development of students.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working 1:1 or in small groups with children with SEMH needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and academic progress. You will also collaborate with other professionals to share best practices and ideas, contributing to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

This term-time only position offers a competitive salary of £24,000 per annum (£480-500 per week), paid weekly via PAYE, inclusive of Holiday Pay. It is perfect for individuals aiming to gain experience in SEND settings to further their careers, particularly those planning to pursue a Master's or Doctorate.

To succeed in this role, you will need a First-Class Degree from a Top 20 UK University, a strong desire to apply yourself fully and learn on the job, a passion for working with children and helping those with additional learning needs, resilience, determination, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference. Experience working with SEND children or those with Behavioural Difficulties is highly beneficial, but not essential.
