We are recruiting a Child and Family Services Practitioner to join our team in Swansea. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about social work and want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with foster families, providing support and guidance to help them provide the best possible care to the children in their care.

About the Position

This is a 6-month locum position, working full-time. You will split your time between home and the office, working closely with the fostering team. Your main responsibilities will include working with foster families, attending case planning and review meetings, and providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support foster families to understand the needs of the children in their care
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop effective plans to meet the child's needs
  • Attend case planning and review meetings
  • Contribute to ongoing assessments and reviews of the child's needs
Requirements and Salary
  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
  • Experience in fostering
  • £38.15 per hour (assignment rate)
  • Paid DBS service
