Job Description

As a Relief Worker at Turning Point Scotland, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable adults who are experiencing a crisis due to alcohol or drug use.

You will work closely with individuals to encourage them to achieve their personal outcomes, such as keeping safe, engaging in meaningful activities, community involvement, and maintaining physical and emotional health.

Our service offers integrated health and social care, including a crisis residential unit, 24-hour injecting equipment provision, wound care, harm reduction advice, signposting, and naloxone training and provision.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

You will also need to have a passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.

Benefits

As a Relief Worker, you will have the flexibility to fit your work around your existing commitments and will be under no pressure to accept work that does not suit you.

However, once work is offered and accepted, there is an expectation that you will make every effort to attend that shift.

You will accrue some entitlement to paid holidays and will be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses incurred in the course of your work.
