Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and hard-working Support Specialist to join our team at Keane Premier Support Services South Lanarkshire. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting service users in the community to promote their independence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support service users in all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist service users with medication administration, as required.
- Help service users with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Carry out light house duties, such as cleaning and laundry.
- Assist service users with finances, in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure service users have access to healthcare services, if required.
- Utilize various communication methods to engage with service users, promoting their wellbeing and independence.
- Encourage relationships between service users and their family, friends, and wider community.
- Maintain awareness of equality and diversity, and behave in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Report any adult protection issues, as necessary.
- Document service users' progress on relevant platforms.
Desirable Requirements:
- A full UK driving license would be an asset.
We do not require prior experience; we are looking for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of our service users and helping them to live independently. Please note that you may be required to work in different areas to provide support or to carry out other reasonable duties as necessary. Flexibility and adaptability are key to this role.
