Job Opportunity: Assistant Company Secretary

About the Role

Arthur Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join our client, a successful London market insurer with a strong track record of growth. This role offers a unique blend of board support and technical expertise in governance, providing an exciting opportunity for professional development and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive company secretarial support to relevant boards and committees, ensuring seamless execution of meetings and transactions.
  • Assist in organizing board meetings, preparing agendas, materials, and minutes, maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Manage UK statutory filings and liaise with internal and external contacts to ensure compliance with international regulations.
  • Draft resolutions and corporate documentation for UK and international groups, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support internal projects and transactions, working closely with the Group Company Secretary to ensure effective governance and compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the UK CoSec function, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and Diligent Entities Board App and Database.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Good IT literacy, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Either ICSA qualified or currently pursuing.
