Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Development Manager to join our team in Tamworth. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and identifying land opportunities for strategic land development with the aim of achieving acquisition at the earliest opportunity that is viable and deliverable.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing the Strategic Land Strategy by advising on regional requirements, planning policy amendments, and housing need and supply matters in target areas
  • Sourcing strategic land opportunities in line with the acquisition strategy, including undertaking land searches
  • Collaborating with the Planning Manager to ensure compliance with relevant planning frameworks and legislation
  • Contributing to the development of high-quality housing projects through effective coordination and negotiation with landowners and agents

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with experience in securing Land Agreements coupled with knowledge of the UK Residential Property Market and Planning Frameworks / Legislation
  • RTPI or RICS qualification, with a good understanding of Health and Safety (including CDM relating to design)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
