Finance and Administrative Assistant

Ashton Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance and Administrative Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and possess excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel. They will also have a strong ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of a database, reconciling receipts, managing company bank accounts, and providing administrative support to the Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with database maintenance and project coordination
- Reconcile receipts and allocate expenses to the correct project
- Manage company bank accounts and credit cards
- Issue invoices and follow up on payments
- Manage travel bookings and expenses
- Monitor stock levels and replenish as needed
- Assist with website and social media management
- Provide administrative support to the Director
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of GCSE Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent qualification
- 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to use own initiative
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with Quickbooks or Sage
