Job Title: Finance and Administrative Assistant

Ashton Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance and Administrative Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and possess excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel. They will also have a strong ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of a database, reconciling receipts, managing company bank accounts, and providing administrative support to the Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with database maintenance and project coordination
  • Reconcile receipts and allocate expenses to the correct project
  • Manage company bank accounts and credit cards
  • Issue invoices and follow up on payments
  • Manage travel bookings and expenses
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish as needed
  • Assist with website and social media management
  • Provide administrative support to the Director

Essential Criteria:

  1. Minimum of GCSE Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent qualification
  2. 2 years' experience in a similar role
  3. Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
  4. Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  6. Ability to use own initiative
  7. Excellent organizational and communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Experience with Quickbooks or Sage
