Amplifi Talent is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial planning, analysis, and reporting of a dynamic organisation serving rural communities across a vast region.

About the Role

The Management Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, monitoring, and reporting, supporting the Head of Finance and department heads across Operations, Infrastructure, HR, and Enterprise, Engagement & Marketing. The successful candidate will ensure that financial targets and objectives within the operational plan are achieved.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Planning and Budgeting: Prepare departmental financial plans, budgets, and projections in collaboration with department heads.
  2. Financial Reporting: Produce high-quality financial reports for key stakeholders, including the executive management team, board of management, governance committees, funding bodies, and financial institutions.
  3. Performance Analysis: Review, measure, and analyse financial performance against plans and objectives, identifying areas of under-performance and inefficiency.
  4. Strategic Decision-Making: Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads to support strategic decision-making.
  5. External Audit Support: Serve as a key contact for external auditors, supporting the Head of Finance with annual audit processes and reporting.
  6. Internal Audit Management: Act as the main contact for internal auditors and manage internal audit processes in line with governance requirements and objectives set by the Audit & Risk Management Committee.
  7. Financial Process Improvement: Ensure effective financial reporting systems are in place across all activities, recommending improvements as needed.
  8. Team Collaboration: Support the Finance team in maintaining effective financial processes and controls.
Requirements:
  1. Accounting Qualification: Qualified or part-qualified accountant, ideally with experience in the public or not-for-profit sector.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong financial technical skills are essential.
  3. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organisational skills, high numeracy, attention to detail, and strong IT proficiency.
Salary and Benefits:

This exciting opportunity comes with a salary of up to £50,700, including a strong benefits package.
