Located in the heart of Inverness city centre, Café Artysans is a thriving social enterprise operated by Calman Trust. This commercial food business generates vital funds for our charitable work with young people.
We trade in two distinct lines: Café Artysans and the HasAnswers app and platform. The latter extends our reach through digital technology, empowering us to make a broader impact.
The Business Growth Strategist will focus on driving sales and new business opportunities for Café Artysans. This includes expanding our outside catering and events services while nurturing current and future customer relationships. Identifying options for service development and new market opportunities is also key.
Ambitious engagement with the Highland business community and non-business clients is essential to drive sales across all markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for the profit and loss account of Calman Enterprise activity, delivering and monitoring agreed sales forecasts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking options appraisals for potential new trading markets
- Designing and implementing a business growth and sales strategy, including written business cases for investment or strategy decisions
- Oversight of the sales of our HasAnswers digital platform and services
- Identifying opportunities to bid for tendered contracts via Public Contracts Scotland
- Creating operational opportunities for young people to progress within the organisation
- Attending relevant workshops, business and community events to promote our work and services
Frequent reporting to the Chief Executive and provision of routine updates to the Calman Enterprise board are essential. Continuous review of the Enterprise service offer to identify opportunities for improvement and increased profitability is also required.
The ideal candidate will possess a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. We offer an initial one-year contract, with aspirations for extension and expansion based on performance.
**Estimated Salary:** £37,500 plus performance-related bonus (at discretion of Calman Trust)
