Senior Payroll Specialist

Adaptable Recruitment is seeking an experienced Payslip Management Specialist to join a thriving UK-based organisation. Based in Liverpool city centre, this role involves working a hybrid model, reporting directly to the Payroll Manager.
Job OverviewThis permanent position offers a competitive salary of £46,000 - £48,000 per annum, along with a 37.5 hour working week and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will have extensive payroll knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team at a senior level, producing Director Emoluments, and commercial awareness to make sound decisions. Outstanding communication skills are essential for presenting information and analysis to all levels of the business.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining accurate and timely production of the monthly payroll, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. Additional hours may be required to ensure high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Payroll Manager and deputise during annual leave
- Manage two payroll officers on a day-to-day basis
- Extensive level of payroll knowledge and troubleshooting
- Ability to deal with enquiries from all levels and perform manual calculations
- Supporting enquiries from internal and external auditors
