Policy and Public Affairs Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join our team. As a key member of our communications and fundraising team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our policy and public affairs strategy.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading charity that supports learning disabled adults to live their life their way. You will be responsible for monitoring parliamentary activity, consultations, and policy developments to inform our campaign and communications activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor parliamentary activity, consultations, and policy developments to inform our campaign and communications activity
  • Develop and implement effective policy and public affairs strategies to achieve our goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with politicians, policymakers, and stakeholders
  • Provide strategic advice on key reputational and media issues
  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness of critical issues and the needs of people with learning disabilities
