Policy and Public Affairs Officer

Hft is seeking a skilled Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join our team. As a key member of our communications and fundraising department, you will play a crucial role in shaping our policy and public affairs strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor parliamentary activity, consultations, and policy developments to inform Hft's campaign and communications activity.
  • Establish and strengthen Hft's relationship with politicians, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement integrated campaigns that raise awareness of critical issues and the needs of people with learning disabilities.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including with UK politicians and policymakers.
  • Provide strategic advice on key reputational and media issues to influence our campaigns and build our voice of authority.
