About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Castleholme Lodge in Huddersfield. This role will involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide structured activities and assist in the planning of individual and group therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver structured activities and support service users in achieving their goals.
  • To assist in the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of activities to ensure effectiveness and progression.
  • To build one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage participation and empower recovery.
  • To contribute to the development of a hospital-wide out-of-hours structured activity programme in conjunction with other OTAs.

Requirements

  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2 qualification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to deal sensitively with distress, disturbance, and unpredictability.
  • Accessible and flexible in availability.
