We're seeking an Independent Living Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in supporting customers with complex mental health needs and mild learning disabilities to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for providing personalized support to customers, helping them develop essential life skills and promoting independence.
  • Support customers with daily living activities such as cleaning, budgeting, and meal preparation.
  • Accompany customers to community activities and appointments, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement tailored support plans, focusing on customer-centered outcomes.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, goal setting, and regular reviews to ensure seamless support delivery.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer care.
  • Experience in a supporting or housing environment, ideally with experience of supporting others with mental health issues.
  • The ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and adopt a flexible approach to meet changing customer needs.
  • A positive attitude, with a solution-focused mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to use technology to update support plans and collaborate with colleagues.
