Job Summary:

Antony James Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our client's award-winning hotel in Cornwall. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the restaurant team, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the restaurant team, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Ensure exceptional service standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the head chef to achieve culinary excellence and consistency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
