About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Rapid Response team in Slough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health assessments and short-term interventions to young people experiencing mental health crises.

Working closely with our wider CAMH services, local authority, education colleagues, and other services as required, you will be responsible for completing comprehensive psychosocial crisis assessments, offering short-term intervention to stabilize the crisis, and identifying ongoing care plan needs for young people and their families.

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing key relationships with professionals external to the area of service, as well as patients and their families. You will also be responsible for the accurate maintenance of clinical record keeping and ensuring all systems, records, and data are stored and transferred correctly.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field as well as a core profession (e.g., Social Worker, Nurse, OT).
  • Experience in working with mental health and complex needs.
  • Demonstrable skills in mental health assessments and formulation.
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
