Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Slough. As a key member of the Mental Health Support Team, you will work closely with schools and other stakeholders to provide high-quality mental health services to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in educational settings.
- Collaborate with schools and other agencies to identify and address mental health needs, and provide training and support to staff.
- Work with children and young people who require more specialist services, and facilitate their access to these services through effective multi-agency working.
- Support schools in developing their mental health and wellbeing policies and practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health strategies and initiatives within the trust.
- Graduate Certificate or Postgraduate Certificate qualification as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP).
- Experience of working as a qualified EMHP, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and adults.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, and willingness to travel independently between locations.
