Mental Health Practitioner

Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing essential mental health support to children and young people (CYP) within our community.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions, working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the well-being of CYP. Your expertise and compassion will make a tangible difference in the lives of young people facing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct therapeutic support to CYP experiencing mental health difficulties, utilizing evidence-based low-intensity interventions.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing support.
- Deliver training sessions on mental health awareness and wellbeing to staff within educational settings.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement appropriate safeguarding measures to ensure the safety and well-being of CYP.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to ethical guidelines and confidentiality protocols.
- Participate in clinical supervision and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A recognized teaching qualification or equivalent experience working with CYP.
- A minimum of two years' experience delivering evidence-based interventions to CYP and/or their families.
- Demonstrated understanding of common mental health issues affecting CYP and their presentation.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with diverse populations.
