About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to a diverse range of visitors, including residents, customers, contractors, and internal and external staff. Your friendly and professional demeanor will ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all.

A critical aspect of this role is to assess and vet referrals to ensure suitability for our hostel, updating our database accordingly. You will build strong relationships with contacts from councils and charities across London and outer London, working collaboratively to provide a seamless service.

Your goal will be to deliver a customer-focused service at Lea Bridge reception, including logging repairs and assisting customers with queries. You will also be responsible for monitoring security systems and resident safety through building control systems.

To maintain a safe and clean reception area, you will adhere to procedures, rules, and regulations. You will work closely with a small housing and maintenance team, assisting with administrative duties and tasks for the scheme. You will report directly to the Hostel Team Leader and work within a small team of six day-staff and evening and weekend security guards.

Location: Our hostel is situated in Leyton E10 7EB, with an onsite car park available for staff. The nearest tube station, Walthamstow Centre, is a 20-minute walk, and a short bus ride from Leytonstone and Leyton tube stations.

About You: We are seeking a passionate and empathetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a team player, you will provide an efficient and effective receptionist and referral support service. Experience and knowledge within a housing environment are essential, as you will assess client applications against our scheme's vetting criteria to determine suitability.
