About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding MGA as an Underwriting Assistant in their Property and Casualty division. The division focuses on mid-sized and small to medium-sized commercial businesses across a range of products, including property owners, commercial combined, and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Exceptional Service: Provide top-notch service to brokers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Learning and Implementing Underwriting Strategies: Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Processing and Supporting Underwriters: Process a variety of work and support underwriters in their daily tasks.
  • Building and Maintaining Broker Relationships: Foster strong relationships with brokers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Pursuing Market-Related Learning and Self-Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, continuously improving skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Two Years' Experience: In insurance, preferably within the Property and Casualty sector.
  • Exposure to Commercial Insurance: Essential for this role.
  • MGA Experience: A plus, but not required.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: With a confident and positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Minimum C Grade in Math and English: At GCSE level; A-Levels preferred.
