Human Resources Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Human Resources Officer to join our team at Transun Travel. As a key member of our core team based in Oxford, you will be responsible for coordinating the HR activities concerning our seasonal employees who work on our behalf in the Arctic Circle during the winter.

Your primary focus will be on the annual recruitment of approximately 80 seasonal overseas staff, including advertising job vacancies, liaising with recruitment agencies, arranging recruitment days, and supporting in interviews and selection decisions for non-management roles. You will also be responsible for administering all HR paperwork, overseeing the payroll process, delivering staff inductions, and arranging staff transport at the start and end of seasonal contracts.

In addition to these tasks, you will act as a first point of contact in handling employee relations issues, provide references, and ensure compliance regulations are met in accordance with legislation in the UK, Finland, and Sweden. You will work under your own initiative and as part of a team, using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to manage HR elements.

The successful candidate will be experienced in working within human resources or administration, highly organized, and able to respond quickly in a dynamic working environment. They will be an excellent communicator, able to work under their own initiative, and as part of a team. They will also be flexible and able to travel overseas at short notice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the annual recruitment process for seasonal staff
  • Administering HR paperwork and maintaining employee records
  • Overseeing the payroll process and delivering staff inductions
  • Acting as a first point of contact for employee relations issues
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

Salary: Dependent on experience
