Radiation Therapy Equipment Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team of specialist electronics engineers in Radiotherapy Technology Services (RTS) at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with clinical and scientific staff, supporting the radiotherapy clinical service by maintaining and repairing medical equipment, including linacs, CT simulators, and other complex devices.

You will contribute to implementing new radiotherapy technology solutions, such as Surface Guided Radiotherapy (SGRT), and develop techniques to improve oncology services for patient benefit.

Main Duties:
  • Lead and participate in diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of radiotherapy pre-treatment and treatment delivery systems.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project teams to provide technical support for complex radiotherapy problems.
  • Train medical engineering apprentices and trainees in electronics and radiotherapy equipment knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of work for medical equipment maintenance and fault resolution.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive training program, opportunities for career progression, and a supportive working environment.
