The successful candidate will have professional registration as a clinical technologist, healthcare scientist, or healthcare science practitioner. Unregistered technicians may be appointed to a lower grade until relevant qualifications, experience, and registration are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Management
    In this role, you will participate in the management of medical devices, including installation, maintenance, calibration, diagnosis, repair, modification, and upgrade of radiotherapy equipment. You will provide direct technical support and advice to radiotherapy managers and users of the technology.
  • Clinical Support
    You will provide technical services to formal clinical research and development activity, ensuring safety and reliability of medical devices and taking action on discrepancies.
  • Leadership and Quality
    This position involves supervising, mentoring, teaching, and training staff in radiotherapy technology. You will also produce and update procedures to maintain quality management systems and ensure trust policies and safe working practices are followed.
