Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Administrator / Payroll Specialist to join our team at Jobwise Ltd. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for processing payrolls, managing pension schemes, and handling payroll-related queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process 7 payrolls, including one for the USA, accurately and on time.
  • Manage and administer pension schemes for employees, including auto-enrolment, contribution calculations, and ensuring compliance with pension regulations.
  • Accurately calculate and process employee commissions based on sales performance and company policies.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissions, and handle any queries from HMRC or other regulatory bodies.
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, student loans, and any other required deductions.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees, ensuring timely resolution and providing clear explanations of payroll-related matters.
  • Use and maintain payroll software systems, ensuring all employee data is up-to-date and secure.
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of P60s and other end-of-year documentation for UK payrolls.
  • Assist with other payroll-related administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, processing new starters and leavers, and updating pay rates.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension schemes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT and excel skills.
  • Experience in calculating and processing employee commissions would be beneficial.
  • Use of payroll software packages Sage 50 and Tempaid is desirable.
  • Experience in processing payroll for the US would be useful but is not essential.
  • CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) certification or equivalent is preferred.

  • Salary: £24,000 - £27,000, dependent on experience.
