We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis. Our client, a dynamic and fast-paced organization based in the North West, is looking for an individual with expertise in XERO accountancy software to take on a key role in their financial management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and process financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and bank transactions
  • Reconcile bank and company credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Process purchase ledger invoices and prepare sales invoices
  • Manage credit control and reconcile time sheets for payroll purposes
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of XERO accountancy software and experience in using it to manage financial transactions
  • At least 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Prior employment as a bookkeeper or accountant, with a strong understanding of financial management principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

Salary and Working Hours:

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, with the option to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (either 3 full days or 5 part days). The role is office-based, with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
