We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Jobwise Ltd. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payrolls, managing pension schemes, and handling payroll-related queries.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Processing: Accurately process 7 payrolls, including one for the USA, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Pension Administration: Manage and administer pension schemes for employees, including auto-enrolment, contribution calculations, and ensuring compliance with pension regulations.
- Commission Calculations: Accurately calculate and process employee commissions based on sales performance and company policies.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure payroll processes comply with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissions, and handle any queries from HMRC or other regulatory bodies.
- Tax and Deductions: Calculate and process statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, student loans, and any other required deductions.
- Payroll Queries: Address payroll-related queries from employees, ensuring timely resolution and providing clear explanations of payroll-related matters.
- Payroll Software: Use and maintain payroll software systems, ensuring all employee data is up-to-date and secure.
- End-of-Year Processes: Manage the preparation and distribution of P60s and other end-of-year documentation for UK payrolls.
- General Administration: Assist with other payroll-related administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, processing new starters and leavers, and updating pay rates.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a similar role.
- Payroll Legislation: Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension schemes.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to employees.
- Numeracy Skills: Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process payroll data.
- IT Skills: Strong IT and excel skills, with experience in using payroll software packages such as Sage 50 and Tempaid.
- Certification: CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Salary: GBP24,000 - GBP27,000, dependent on experience.
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time role, 37.5 hours per week.
