About the Role

Career Connect is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Careers Adviser. As a key member of our community team, you will play a vital role in supporting 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling training and employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide careers support to young people, helping them to understand their career skills and strengths, overcome personal barriers, and create a better future for themselves.
  • Work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to improve outcomes for young people, including direct contact with young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers, and employers across the city.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with young people, their families, and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of careers guidance services, including the design and delivery of workshops, training sessions, and other activities to support young people in achieving their career goals.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that all services are delivered to a high standard, meeting the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

  • A competitive salary of £26,485 – £30,012 per annum, depending on experience.
