We are currently seeking an HR Apprentice to undertake a comprehensive training program and gain hands-on experience in various HR functions. As part of the People Team at DCS Group, you will work closely with our HR Manager to develop your skills and knowledge in employee onboarding, support, and benefits administration.

Main Responsibilities:

  • New Starters: Coordinate the onboarding process, draft contracts and offer letters, conduct Right to Work checks, and ensure accurate data entry into SAGE and Tensor systems.
  • Employee Movement: Support internal employee moves by coordinating approval processes and issuing updated contracts, ensuring systems remain accurate.
  • Leavers: Manage leaver processes, conduct exit interviews, coordinate checklist completion, and handle DCS equipment returns.
  • General HR Support: Provide HR support to employees, coordinate probation and annual review processes, cover Payroll during absence periods, and maintain up-to-date employee records.
  • Benefits & Administration: Administer benefits schemes, support external audits, maintain My SAGE People portal and Employee Handbook, and ensure all training and job descriptions are accurate for audit purposes.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Essential: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Desirable Skills: A proactive mindset for challenging and improving processes, adaptability to learn new systems, and a strong interest in advancing HR and payroll skills.
