About the Role
We are seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud and Information Services division at SAS. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing our data management systems in SAS Cloud, working closely with our engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current processes for client systems and troubleshoot errors through runbooks
- Update and develop related procedures and documentation
- Multi-task in a hosting and production support driven environment
- Diagnose and resolve problems in a timely fashion
- Collaborate with other SAS Cloud teams
- Manage, monitor, and maintain container-based applications deployed in cloud container services
- Configure, manage, monitor, and debug mid-tier software
Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as technical escalation support for other team members
- Contribute to overall service quality by identifying and improving the customer experience with SAS Cloud services

Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience working as a software or devops engineer
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Computer Science, or related field
- Proficiency in Unix, Linux, and Cloud experience (preferred Azure), AWS, or GCP
- Coding languages: Python
- Experience testing, supporting, and automating jobs
- Experience working in the Dev/Ops function
- Good understanding of ETL process and tools
- At least Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, experience preferred
- Familiarity with CI/CD
- Nice to know Airflow or similar tool

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as strong decision-making skills
- Ability to interact well with development groups and end users
