About the Role

The Cloud team at SAS is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud and Information Services division. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data management systems in SAS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing current processes for client systems and troubleshooting errors through runbooks
  • Updating and developing related procedures and documentation
  • Providing multi-tasking support in a hosting and production-driven environment
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems in a timely fashion
  • Collaborating with other SAS Cloud teams
  • Managing, monitoring, and maintaining container-based applications deployed in cloud container services
  • Resolving production issues and verifying customer satisfaction
  • Configuring, managing, monitoring, and debugging mid-tier software

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a software or DevOps engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Unix, Linux, and cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Coding languages: Python
  • Experience testing, supporting, and automating jobs
  • Experience working in the DevOps function
  • Good understanding of ETL processes and tools
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD
