Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Join Loma Systems, a leading manufacturer of inspection equipment, as a Field Service Engineer. As a key member of our National Response Team, you will provide high-quality technical support to our customers in the UK.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out repairs, on-site commissioning, service, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment, adhering to stated processes and procedures.
  • Perform upgrades and refurbishments on customer sites.
  • Handle on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
  • Adapt to various environments and comply with local clients' health and safety regulations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Cooperate with overtime requirements and participate in the on-call standby rota system.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and provide technical support via phone and email when needed.
Requirements:
  • Good technical electrical/electronics skills.
  • Minimum ONC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Ideal experience in a field service role, familiar with customer service aspects, including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
  • PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware are advantageous.
  • Good PC literacy and organizational skills.
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
  • Full current UK driving license.
