Salary: £23,898 - £24,300 (Pro rata for part time)

Working Hours: 22.5hrs and 30hrs per week (Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a work rota and work weekends and bank holidays when required)

Contract Type: Permanent

The successful candidate will deliver day-to-day support, providing assistance with personal care, promoting choice and control alongside maximising independence. Contributing to and creating Care and Support plans to ensure that effective care is delivered throughout the team.

You will work in accordance with Leicestershire County Council's Employee Code of Conduct and Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers.

We will meet the training costs and the DBS enhanced check (Adults Barred List) for a regulated activity required for this post.

About You

  1. Demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality care and support, and maximising independence;
  2. Be responsive to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service. Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a staff rota that incorporates working weekends and bank holidays;
  3. The ability to write clear and concise records;
  4. Have the ability to assist with the moving and handling of people using available equipment;
