Financial Fraud Prevention Specialist

The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Financial Fraud Prevention Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in protecting Group revenue by minimising losses due to payment fraud while maintaining minimal friction at checkout for genuine customers.
The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with machine learning and rules-based fraud prevention tools. They will be responsible for:
- Acting as a subject matter expert on payment and fraud matters within the business.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvements in payment fraud processes and KPIs to maximise customer acceptance and minimise fraud losses.
- Managing relationships with external fraud screening system suppliers.
- Defending chargebacks and disputes to recover from payment providers.
- Developing an external intelligence network to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in payments and fraud.
- Handling daily fraud and abuse-related processes, escalations, and alerts.
- Analysing payments performance data to provide reporting of key KPIs for senior management.
- Supporting the development and implementation of new payment options across global operations and all business channels.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a customer payments or fraud prevention role.
- A keen analytical mindset, with the ability to interrogate data for insights.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to non-financial staff.
- An ambitious and creative thinker who can work independently or collaboratively to solve problems.
