Fraud and Chargeback Operations Specialist

About The Role

We are seeking a seasoned fraud prevention specialist to join our team at TPN Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for detecting and preventing fraudulent activities within our fintech platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing transaction data to identify potential financial crimes and implementing effective prevention measures.
  • Collaborating with risk management and legal teams to develop strategies to combat financial fraud and chargebacks.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest fraud trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure our prevention measures remain effective.
  • Implementing fraud prevention tools and systems to monitor and detect potential fraudulent transactions in real-time.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners to share information and collaborate on fraud prevention efforts.
  • Reviewing and assessing chargeback claims to determine their validity and taking appropriate action.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed reports and documentation related to fraud investigations and chargeback cases.
  • Training and educating employees on fraud prevention best practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience with chargebacks, transaction monitoring, Authorised Push Payment (APP) fraud, and Faster Payments Service (FPS)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of performing client money reconciliations and building reconciliation processes
  • Experience managing technical or operational change processes
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to engage and present to other teams and senior stakeholders to resolve queries/operational issues

Working Arrangements

This is a London-based opportunity with one day a week remote working.
