Job Summary

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Educator to join their team. As a Clinical Research Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of research education and practice within the Trust. You will work closely with the Institute for Excellence in Healthcare and the UHL Education and Practice Development Team to identify research education and training needs, promote research awareness, and deliver education in research practice. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the IEH research infrastructure and ensure that clinical areas provide a positive practice environment for new starters, students, and learners.

Main Responsibilities

Work alongside clinical colleagues to deliver research education and practice in clinical care
Take a lead role in the facilitation and provision of research education and professional practice expertise for staff
Participate in the development, implementation, and delivery of competency-based research practice education, supervision, and assessment of staff
Contribute to Trust-wide core training delivering research practice such as Preceptorship, registrant Induction, OSCE Programme, and Healthcare Support Worker Induction
Promote high-quality clinical care and assist in the development and expansion of practice that meets the needs of the service and user
Actively contribute to the support of learners, supervisors, and assessors within the clinical area to enrich the quality of their research learning experience
Actively contribute to the education and training of Healthcare Support Workers acknowledging their growing contribution to the delivery of care in the clinical area
Contribute to the local implementation of the UHL Induction and Study Leave Policies and the UHL Nursing, Midwifery, and AHP Strategy
