Pastoral Assistant - Social Science Graduates

EdEx – Education Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and passionate Psychology Graduate to support students in a dynamic and 'Outstanding' Primary School in the heart of Barnet.

This full-time and long-term role is perfect for a Psychology Graduate pursuing a career in teaching and/or gaining experience for Clinical/Educational Psychology Courses.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with an Educational Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist, supporting students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Downs Syndrome, and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Downs Syndrome
  • Work closely with Educational Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans for students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support
  • Participate in CPD opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Psychology Graduate with a passion for supporting children's social and emotional well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
