Pastoral Assistant - Social Science Graduate Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Pastoral Assistant to join our team at an 'Outstanding' Primary School in the heart of Barnet. As a Psychology Graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Downs Syndrome.
  • Work closely with the Educational Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Participate in training and CPD opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate with a passion for supporting children's social and emotional well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
