Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Hexagon Care Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at our new children's home in Houghton-Le-Spring. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children and young people, and who is committed to delivering exceptional care and support. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualized care and support to young people with complex needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
  • Encouraging and supporting young people to participate in activities and games
  • Managing challenging behaviors and providing de-escalation techniques
  • Working collaboratively with the therapy team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Desirable: QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People's Workforce (not essential, Hexagon will pay for the new level 4 Diploma if required)
