About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of English to join our team at Whitetrees Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to our education team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
    • Manage and develop a team of educators, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
    • Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive school improvement and achieve organizational goals.
  • Teaching and Learning
    • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality education.
    • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
    • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring that they are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that they are informed and engaged in their child's education.
    • Communicate regularly with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals.
  • Professional Development
    • Identify and develop opportunities for professional growth and development, ensuring that educators have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
    • Collaborate with other organizations to stay up-to-date with best practices and emerging trends in education.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Master's degree in Education or a related field.
    • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in education leadership, preferably in a senior role.
    • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and achieving organizational goals.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, driving improvement and achievement.
    • Passion for education and a commitment to delivering high-quality educational programs.
