Director of Flight Operations

Ascend Airways is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Flight Operations to join our leadership team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued success and growth of our airline.

The Director of Flight Operations will be responsible for leading our Flight Operations department, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and driving continuous improvement in our standards. You will work closely with our senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies to achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Flight Operations department, delegating responsibilities to the Deputy Director as needed.
  • Oversee the work and management of all roles within the Flight Operations department.
  • Ensure compliance with CAA regulations and other relevant legislation affecting air operations.
  • Supervise incident management, conducting thorough enquiries in the event of incidents involving our fleet.
  • Champion health and safety standards, leading by example and participating in safety and strategy reviews.
  • Report on important departmental updates at weekly management meetings.
  • Monitor and control operational efficiency standards.
  • Maintain key relationships with internal departments, third parties, and clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Boeing Pilot.
  • Flight operations leadership experience.
  • Senior management experience in the aviation industry.
  • Experience with Pilot recruitment processes and procedures.
  • A background in training within aviation is desirable.
