Job Overview

The role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant involves working closely with pupils who require additional support in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have an academic background, relevant experience in a support role, and the ability to work full-time school hours term-time only.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs
  • To assist teachers in creating a conducive learning environment
  • To maintain accurate records of pupil progress

Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • An academic background (degree or similar)
  • Experience working with pupils in a support role
  • Ability to work full-time school hours term-time only

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £90 per day, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include the opportunity to work with ASC and SEMH students, and the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive team environment.

  • Hold a Right to Work in the UK
  • Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • Provide professional references to cover the past 2 years
  • Team Teach trained - preferred
