Pharmacist Leadership Position in Post-Acute Medicine

The trust offers specialist services from King's College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
Salary and Benefits
This full-time position comes with a competitive salary of £54,320 - £60,981 per annum, including HCA.

Job Description
This exciting opportunity involves leading and delivering clinical pharmacy services to post-acute medical and stroke wards.
You will work closely with the Principal Pharmacist, Post-Acute Medicine, to extend the boundaries of professional practice within the care group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
- Providing interface and discharge liaison, and supporting wards & units within the Care Group.
- Leading on the provision of clinical pharmacy services to various sub-specialties and ensuring a high level of clinical pharmacy input.
- Developing, implementing, and auditing local guidelines.
- Assisting in financial reporting to the Care Group and drug budget management.
- E nsuring seamless pharmaceutical care on discharge, liaising with other pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
Person Specification
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- MPharm degree or equivalent qualification.
- Registered Pharmacist with 1 year competency assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
- Working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy.
- Registered Independent Prescriber or willingness to complete.
- Member of the RPS faculty.
Additional requirements include appropriate post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy, supervisory experience, and experience of delivering training and education at a postgraduate level.
