About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Pharmacy Lead to join our Post-Acute Medicine team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacist with a clinical pharmacy background to lead and deliver high-quality clinical services in post-acute medical wards.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across Post-Acute Medicine, which includes a broad range of specialties such as respiratory, cystic fibrosis, stroke, gastroenterology, diabetes, and elderly care. The pharmacists within Post-Acute Medicine provide extensive pharmaceutical care and medicines management services to patients within these areas to ensure a seamless integrated model of care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver high-quality clinical services in post-acute medical wards
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team delivering and promoting high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care to patients
  • Provide interface and discharge liaison, and support wards & units within the Care Group
  • Consistently lead on the provision of clinical pharmacy services to many sub-specialties within the Care Group and ensure a high level of clinical pharmacy input
  • Act as a clinical role model, supervise rotational staff at ward level, and promote safe drug use within the specialty

Salary

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, annual leave, and access to training and development opportunities.
