About Us:

Triple West Medical is a Major Acute Hospital with a busy medical take and an established reputation for patients presenting with a very wide range of medical conditions with a high degree of acuity. Our team runs the award-winning Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit and the well-established Medical High Dependency Unit.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision for junior doctors rotating to the department and be the educational supervisor for up to two foundation trainees.
  • Contribute to leading and developing new services.
  • Supervise clinical management of general geriatric inpatients.
  • Oversee the management of frail patients presenting to A and E or via the GP for same-day emergency care.
  • Regular involvement in clinical governance, service development activity, audit, and teaching.

About the Role:

This is a substantive position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The appointee will join a department of six acute medicine consultants, fourteen acute/specialty consultants, and thirty-three specialty medical consultants who together are responsible for providing the acute and general internal medicine service.

Requirements:

  • GMC registration
  • Experience in acute and geriatric medicine
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
