Head and Neck Ward Staff Nurse Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team in the Head and Neck Ward at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Main Responsibilities- Uphold Trust values and beliefs to deliver high standards of care
- Support Clinical Excellence by maintaining mandatory and role-specific training needs, demonstrating a good knowledge base of surgical conditions, and demonstrating competence in expanded roles
- Be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care

Person Specification- Essential qualifications: completion of a nursing degree programme and NMC registration
- Desirable qualifications: mentorship or teaching qualification
- Essential experience: previous experience in managing airway patients and recent experience in an acute setting
- Desirable experience: ENT Head and Neck experience and knowledge, evidence of clinical effectiveness, research, and audit
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, and carers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work under pressure and seek help when required
- Flexibility and resilience
- Act as a role model to others
